Release Notes

What's new:

• Small UI tweaks everywhere.
• You can add Text, Subtitles and Title Frames.
• Processing the gif now takes less time.
• Languages: Spanish, Italian and Tamil added.
• Single .exe multi language.
• Takes less time to apply blur and pixelated efect.
• Restart button.
• Language picker. (If the user wants to select a diferent language than the system's)
• "Encoding Finished" page with a link to open the file.
• GreenScreen unchanged pixels to save kilobytes.
• "Check for Updates" tool.
• Gif Border (if user wants).
• You can set a folder to save automatically.
• Very small sized executable, it's just 811kb!

Edit (06/05): (May 6)

Because some anti-virus programs was accusing false positives on multi language version of the application, I have compiled the software in a version with only English.

The multilanguage version is just a normal .exe with all language files compacted in the same file. I'm currently using the program Exepack.NET to achieve that.

Edit (17/05) - (18/05): (May 17-18)

Bug fixes.
Download and try again if a later release is crashing.

Edit (14/06)

The NullReference bug will be fixed in the release 1.1, in the meantime, unselect the "Show cursor" option.

This this is exactly what you want from a screen cap tool. Small, simple, no install, no fuss.

I have tried a number of animated GIF makers for creating user-friendly documentation clips, and found this one the best. In addition, the author is adding more useful features (most recently overlays to mark up the aGif frames, and seems in the next release working on building aGifs from manual snapshots and full screen shots), and has been very responsive when I ran into problems. Many thanks for a great tool.

This is quite possibly only of the coolest apps I've come across. Works EXTREMELY well. And best of all? I can do a high quality looking gif record and it's only like <1MB in size!. Nice!

Trips virus detection as Trojan: Primary download: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/bea849e894577b721ba0abd9e32c8edd16647b6b1479916b130e85977c6c9051/analysis/1401457767/ May be a false positive but I will stick to the English only. English only portable: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4ed17988ef9fb9b13670ae5e5e45c99eca9a2fa20e431bd55e4c30cda7d57f80/analysis/

Read the "Edit (06/05)" Multilanguage exe = normal exe + all DLL translations. So basically, a few antiviruses ended up firing false alerts for the translations Dlls inside the main exe. Next release I'll make a 3rd download option with the translations dll not inside the exe.

This is a wonderful tool! I'm very impressed by the file size of the final GIFs. They seem to be highly optimized. The developer is also very quick to respond to issues. Thanks so much!

This is absolutely excellent! The authour has thought this program out very well. It is so easy to make a gif-based video screencast (no audio, of course - it's a gif). It will let you edit the gif before you save it, and even add captions. The only thing I missed was a back/forward mouse button (you can scroll, however, or use the arrow keys to navigate frames). You can't edit saved gifs, however with version 1.0 - you can only edit the captured one before you save it). What's best is that you can move the window around whilst you are recording and the movement is captured in the gif! Wonderful! Thank you very much. I'm going to follow this project with glee.
