Reviews for this release

5/5 Does a very good job. Works better than other GIF screen recording software, doesn't get confused by non-standard DPI scaling on my system and has a very friendly interface. On top of that it also alanyses unchanged pixels between frames and can make very small gif files.

This is a very handy program. I am using it to create animated gifs for teaching how to use MS Office software. It is lightweight and quick. I would like better ability to insert text box callouts with an opaque or semi-opaque background, as well as having animated arrows or other attention indicators. Creators could refer to Debugmode's "Wink" program (which outputs a Flash animation, and so is not as browser friendly as I'd like)

Really nice app but it does crash. On longer capturing it just hangs and crashes. When stopping and starting 10+ times it crashes.

Some users reported this issue and I have a fix for it. Thanks for the feedback.

very nice interface. advanced features and powerful capabilities without being cluttered. good use of Microsoft's work tab architecture. intuitive. misses the last star only by a hair, and because i'm a conservative scorer. but to color my 4 stars: i freely donated $7 to the author - i will get serious value out of this app.

Works great, small and light. Would like to be able to change the frame color of the application since it can be difficult to see with White on White. (I tried the interface settings but it doesn't change the recorder's color.

Made an account just for this program. Very light, intuitive, visually pleasing, feature-packed, and, most importantly, does what it needs to very well. Also, the "I'm Blind" option for the grid size cracks me up (which is what I use). Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Sometimes I just needed to record screen as a GIF for signatures on forums. This tool does what I wanted. I see it having a great future.

Works great, I would love to see more enhancements that you could make when rendering the final output of the GIF. Smaller file size while keeping good frame rates that is.

I'm recreating the Gif encoding process to allow more user choices, like color count and color mapping options.

I have wished for a tool this simple for screen capturing for forever. Couldn't be more simple, unzip the file, run the exe, click record. No drivers, no fuss. Only complaint, which is more a feature request, is that it can't save to compressed video format like mp4/h264. It isn't too hard to compress the raw avi it outputs to mp4 though.

Hi, I plan to include an option to compress the video recording, but I'll probably have o use ffmpeg or some other library.
